PROKIT is the UK and European distributor for Wally Dolly. First introduced by us in 2001, it has become the de-facto standard for portable dolly and track requirements in the broadcasting industry. It is smooth, quick to set up, lightweight, strong and compact.
We are the UK distributors for Losmandy, manufacturers of the Portajib (standard jib) and the Flextrak dolly system. Losmandy engineering is second to none. Their products are strong, cleverly designed and smooth to operate. The Standard Portajib will take any size camera, The Traveler Portajib is a more compact and portable unit. A 4 leg ride-on dolly, or 3 leg spider dolly, travel smoothly on a completely flexible track: the Flextrak.
We stock two of the major ranges of tripods: Miller and Manfrotto. Miller's "true" fluid head range, from its compact DS range to its full-featured Arrow range, offer outstanding performance at very attractive prices. Their Solo spreader-less tripods are popular. Manfrotto fluid-effect heads give good value for money performance for DV/HDV applications.
Cinekinetic make a great piece of kit: Cinesaddle. It nestles your camera on a wall, in a tree, on the floor etc., and even on a car. We are the distributors for this too.
A robust set of legs is essential for stable, steady shots. However, it is the quality of the fluid head which puts you in control. A "true" fluid head, such as those made by Miller, Sachtler, etc., feature multi-plate drag modules for seamless stops and starts, and a modular approach to selecting degrees of drag with repeatable performance. A fluid head with a 'lubricated friction' approach to drag control, such as those made by Manfrotto, offers great value for money.
Add more movement to dramatically increase production value with a dolly, jib or crane. There are hand portable dollies and jibs from Wallydolly and Miller respectively, which fold to about the size of a tripod bag. They offer fast set-up and smooth performance from a lightweight yet robust package. Heavier engineering from Losmandy allows a 3 leg tripod dolly or 4 leg ride-on dolly to be used on a totally flexible track. None of our grip is too big, though.
