LED Lighting Open Day
PROKIT hosted a very successful LED Lighting Open Day in the showroom on Thursday 15th. October 2009. This was a multi-manufacturer event with ARRI, Bebob, Dedo, Element Labs, Litepanels, Lowel and PAG. Visitors saw a wide variety of LED Lighting products, and made side by side comparisons. LED technology has been promising our industry so much for a number of years, but has often been disappointing. PROKIT believes the technology applied by a number of manufacturers has matured and now offers us excellent products with so many benefits
PROKIT is growing
We are pleased to tell you that our team has grown and strengthened. Keir Garnet Lawson has joined us to take a hire, product and sales support role. Damien King has also joined us in a sales support role as well as taking responsibility for stores. They join Stuart Dennis who has served many of you over the years, and Sebastian Kanabar, our Showroom Manager
RED
We now have four RED One Camera kits for hire. Please see http://www.prokit.co.uk/red/index.php To learn all about the camera, we run Red One to One training sessions. This is an intense two hour program spent with one of our trainers. You will receive a hands-on assessment of the camera, its controls and the menus. We conclude with abbreviated tuition on how the workflow process continues after shooting. This is an essential training session if you are using RED One for the first time, and strongly recommend to those who may be familiar with the basics, but wish to learn more.Our RED page has full details
PROKIT's new Steadicam facilities
PROKIT has increased its commitment to Steadicam by stocking the Merlin, Pilot and Flyer ranges. We have each of these remarkable designs in our showroom for demonstration purposes. Please make an appointement to see Stuart or Sebastian, both Steadicam trained offionados.
SONY appoint PROKIT as a Specialist Dealer
PROKIT have become a SONY Specialist Dealer. Included in the largest broadcast production equipment showroom in the UK, we now have a dedicated SONY area, focused on HDV and XDCAM equipment. You are able to evaluate the technology in a realistic shooting environment.
Becoming an accredited Sony Specialist Dealer seemed like a natural progression for us as we have been supplying and advising on Sony cameras for over a decade. We are delighted that we now have SONY's full support in this process. We offer a hands-on evaluation of SONY cameras in our showroom, as well as expert advice on all the acquisition tools necessary to make a complete shooting solution.
PROKIT becomes Litepanels distributor
PROKIT is proud to announce that it is now distributing Litepanels revolutionary LED lighting systems. Only Litepanels employ ultra-efficient LEDs to produce bright projected soft light for working in studio or on location anywhere in the world. It's no surprise that, since their debut in 2004, Litepanels have become an invaluable staple in the arsenal of lighting and camera people alike.
Choose from the Litepanels 1x1 range including focusable and daylight/tungsten switchable panels, the MiniPlus in 3200°K Flood, 5600°K Flood or 5600°K Spot, or the camera-top Micro range.
RUIGE - An excellent Monitor manufacturer
PROKIT is now importing, and fully supporting, an HD/SD LCD Monitor from Ruige in China. The portable 7" model TL-S700HD, is a multi-format field monitor. Fabulous picture, fully featured, very robust but lightweight design, V-lok battery mount. Excellent value at £1185 + vat. The price includes a free Carry-Case worth £98.
