Red Cameras 'will be featured at film festival'
The use of
Red Cameras in films will be honoured at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF) later this year.
Between September 22nd and October 5th 2010, the Caribbean state will celebrate independent filmmakers and the entire movie industry.
Speaking to the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian, the festival's programme director Annabelle Alcazar said that this year's is set to be the biggest event to date.
She stated that TTFF 2010 was aimed at involving the local community and films that would not be shown locally will be screened so that residents can have a chance to see them.
Ms Alcazar also mentioned that a number of workshops will take place to encourage local filmmakers, including exhibitions and events featuring Red Cameras.
"It's a new innovative camera that feature films are being shot with internationally. It's an easier tool and it's a cheaper method," the director said.
The Red Camera is becoming an industry favourite among filmmakers after being used for a variety of purposes including shooting commercials and music videos.
